The glass bowl can be put in the microwave or freezer. Do not use in the oven.
All pieces are dishwasher safe, though hand washing is also an option.
We recommend packing leafy greens in the glass bowl layering and veggies and toppings in the metal tray. Add your dressing just before eating. To keep greens fresh and prevent bruising, do not pack the salad too tightly; leaving a little room for air circulation helps.
The kit is designed to be transported inside the Adult Tote Bag. To keep your salad chilled place an ice pack in the base of the bag. Packing your lunch the night before and storing it in the refrigerator overnight will also help keep it cool.

"Was looking for a glass lunch container and liked that this one doesn't have any brittle plastic parts. The plastic hinges on my last salad kit broke very quickly, but this seems designed to last. The metal tray & sauce container is easier to wash than plastic too."
"I am in love with this salad bowl!! I have been looking for over a year for a healthier, endocrine blocking free salad bowl. I had looked at stainless steel, glass, and lots of places. Then I saw on instagram they came out with this and I was so thrilled! It is the perfect size for a good salad. The top holds plenty of toppings/additions. The dressing cup hangs in the middle and I barely put any dressing in. With the dressing cup it is the same that comes with kids lunch boxes so you can swap out. The lidI was iffy about at first but it suctions very well."
"We purchased the To-Go Salad Bowl Kit for our middle school child, and it works well, we just wish the individual compartments could be sealed from each other when the lid is on, as the contents of each compartment (for mix-ins/toppings) become mixed together when taken to school. The lid also does not stay closed as well as we’d hoped, but the upside is that it fits comfortably in the PlanetBox “Lunch Tote Bag” even when we add an Explorer lunchbox, ice pack, and drink!"
"Keeping everything separate from the lettuce has always been a struggle. I love this container. I do wish the top dividers also kept the individual add-ins separate (I tend to just toss this in my work bag - without keeping it upright), but that’s less important. At least I only have to bring one container and don’t have wilted lettuce by noon!"

"I love this to-go salad bowl. The metal seperator is perfect and keeps everything very cold. The little salad dressing container in the middle is leak proof. We have a roll up slip guard mat that we take along with it to place to the bowl on because it is glass and slides around on surfaces at the park,etc. We use it on the go to the beach, playgrounds, museums, etc. The slip guard stops the possiblity of breakage."
