Non-Sandwich Lunches, Part 1: Skewers

Skewers! 

 They are easy to make, hold up well, fit perfectly into our lunchbox compartments, and are super fun to eat! The possibilities are endless here, but here are some ideas:

  • bread + ham/turkey + cheese cube + lettuce + grape tomato
  • mozzarella ball + grape tomato + olive + basil + roasted pepper
  • grilled mushroom + grilled zucchini + grilled pepper + grilled onion
  • chicken + pineapple + ham
  • roasted baby potato + roasted zucchini + tofu + roasted onion
  • tortellini + tomato + sausage (with a pesto dipper)
  • prosciutto + melon + mozzarella ball
  • andouille + Cajun shrimp
  • swiss cheese + ham + pickle (with a French dressing dipper)
  • pumpernickel + lox + cucumber + grape tomato
  • lamb sausage + feta + grape tomato
  • iceberg lettuce + bacon + grape tomato
  • meatball + cheddar cheese + lettuce + pickle
  • tater tots + sausages
  • roasted brussels sprouts + bacon + sausage
  • grilled chicken + grilled pineapple (with a peanut sauce dipper)
  • gnocchi + mozzarella ball + mushroom
  • green apple + cheddar cheese
  • watermelon + feta + mint

 Can't forget about dessert: 

  • strawberry + banana + marshmallow (with a chocolate sauce dipper)
  • raspberry + strawberry + donut hole
  • waffle pieces + strawberry + banana
  • peaches + grapes + brie
  • pound cake + strawberry (with a whipped cream dipper)
