3 of Our Favorite Eco-Friendly Companies

Here at PlanetBox, we love supporting other small businesses like ourselves. There are tons of companies out there doing meaningful work to make the world a more sustainable place. Here are just a few that we are loving as of late:

1) Imperfect Produce. This Bay Area company is a produce delivery service focused on bringing affordable fruits and veggies to consumers by sourcing "ugly" produce that usually goes to waste on farms. Don't worry though - it all tastes the same! They just look a little different on the outside. Choose from an assortment of boxes and get yours delivered right to your door!

2) ThredUp. It's the biggest secondhand store on the internet! Instead of throwing away clothing and contributing to the waste that fills up landfills or ends up in our oceans, ThredUp encourages you to sell your gently used clothing back to them to sell on their ecommerce store. They'll send you a bag free of charge - just fill it up, and send it back to them and wait for the check. They have tons of cute clothing items at up to 90%!

3) Lush Handmade Cosmetics. No longer a small business, as they have hundreds of stores around the world, but Lush is a friend of bath-lovers everywhere. But what makes this company really special is their commitment to sustainability. They use as little packaging as possible (you can bring back their little black pots to be recycled and receive free product!) and never test on animals. Plus you'll leave the store smelling great all day!
